Vision Airlines Reviews
"Do Not Book With Vision Airline"
In June,we booked two round trip flights on Vision Air from Cleveland to Myrtle Beach. We did this on line through Expedia and paid with a credit card. About three weeks ago Vision left us a message on our answering machine saying that the flights had been cancelled. Sometimes, the answering machine inadvertanly erases messages due to thunder storms. If this would have happened, In September , we would have been at the Cleveland airport without a flight. Vision never made any attempt to contact us directly to be sure we were informed of the cancellation. Just a brief message on the answering machine. I contacted Vision for a refund and was told that we had booked through Expedia, Expedia would be responsible for the refund. I then called Expedia and was told it was Vision Air who must refund the money since it was Vision who cancelled the flights. After a few weeks of going back & forth between Expedia & Vision, I contacted the "Consumer Protection" department at the Georgia Governor's office. They were very receptive to my complaint and asked me to furnish their office with copies of all my records. They can be reached at 404-651- 8600 I contacted them because Vision Airway's corperate offices are located in Georgia.
"Cheap Flight Beware! You get what you pay for....and less!"
After a seven hour delay, I experienced pretty much what the previous bad reviews stated. I called Vision's reservations number in the morning before checking out of our condo and they confirmed my flight information and status. There IS NO customer service! Only one Vision Air employee in the entire airport; she was miserable and had no information to update passengers. The first thing the pilot announced was "please do not take out your frustrations on my crew, we were contacted today, on our day off and asked to run this flight".
By time we paid the extra money to stay in town an extra day (because of Vision's limited schedule) car rental, lost a day in the airport, and had to work the following day on 2 hours sleep, we would have been ahead to pay a real airline.
The one and only good review for this airline I assume came from someone who got very, very, unusually lucky with their flight, or they have stock in this company.
"DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS AIRLINE"
I am getting married on October 13th, 2012 and I woke up to an email this morning from Vision Airlines stating that they have cancelled ALL flights from CLE to MYR as of September 5th. I immediately called Vision Airlines customer service department to clarify, and the reason I was given was that their manager said they have been slow and decided to cancel all flights. As I was crying hysterically, I mentioned that this was booked and paid in full months ago for my wedding and my honeymoon. All I got was and "I'm sorry, we will refund your money within 14 days." I'm sorry?!?! This is MY WEDDING & HONEYMOON!! Can someone please explain to me how I am supposed to reschedule my entire life in 2 months? And what about refunding my rental car & hotel stay? Who is going to pay that? Not this crappy airline. I will get stuck paying cancellation fees now.I have already told my friends and family to stay FAR away from Vision. They have completely ruined what is supposed to be the most important day of my life. DO NOT USE THIS NO-NAME AIRLINE EVER.
"Worst experience EVER!!!"
This is the worst airline around with the worst customer service of ANY company that I've ever dealt with in my entire life!
My departing flight went off without a hitch and was perfect in every aspect, but my returning flight left NOTHING to be desired. First off, my flight ended up being cancelled 4 HOURS AFTER it was due to leave. They offered no food vouchers and no hotel .... even after they informed me that the flight would not be going until the next day @ 5pm. After deligently trying to find an alternative flight home that night with no luck, I realized that I was REALLY out of luck because I had no place to lay my head for the night. I tried to explain to them how important it was for me to get home ASAP because of medication needs - all to no avail. But the part that bothered me more than anything else is how people in customer service & those working the ticketing/check-in counter @ the airport will, time after time, do nothing more than lie to you just to try to pacify you. This is not the way to do business with the public, especially when it comes to people who NEED to get from point A to point B due to medical/medication necessities. They just don't care.
After securing a ticket with another airlind for travel the next day, just because I did not "trust" Vision because of all of the lies ... that flight also ended up being delayed at least 3 hrs., so I went back to Vision in hopes of getting on their soonest flight, only to be lied to once again by them. I finally had to get very pushy with them and tell them to just be honest with me and find out if I'd actually be getting out of that place at all that night. The flight that they told me would be leaving @ 5pm was delayed as well, but only by 1 hour so I hopped on that one. Fortunately for me, this was not a Vision Flight but rather a private jet that offered superior service & in a timely manner to get me back to where I needed to be, although a bit late, I was just so relieved to be home safe & sound, and in one piece.
As for Vision airlines - that won't be around too much longer. That's a certain given.
Our flight from Ohio to Myrtle beach was actually very nice. Only a 45 minute delay, nice staff. However trying to leave Myrtle beach has been a horrible experience. Our flight was supposed to leave at 0700, but somehow got delayed due to " maintenance issues" . Funny thing is that somehow the Ohio flight and Indiana flight got combined together. After talking to many people this has been an issue. They like to cancel flights when they feel they aren't full enough. They also never seem to have a back up plane. They always have to charter planes to fulfill their flights. The most frustrating thing was not being told of the delay and their website not being up to date. We arrived at the airport to come back 8 hours later. No hotel to go to or transportation. Not even an apology or concern from staff. They don't care about their customers.
"Vision has to be the BEST Airline Company in America! "
Nothing but top notch service! From check in to departure Vision tops the chart with excellent customer service. The most enjoyable flights of my life. All employees make you feel wonderful and add fun to the trip. Thank you Vision Airlines!!!
"Nonstop Delayed and Turned into a stop in between"
Don't Fly Vision Airlines... They left me stuck in an airport for most of a day, flew us to another city, landed, dropped some off and picked up others before taking us to Myrtle Beach.. And for my trouble I get one way tickets back to Myrtle beach that I have to use by the end of October because they may not be flying after that.. GEEZzzz.... Talk about customer service...
The only Good thing I can say about the airline, The people in the plane were nice to everyone.
Half the people that were on the plane with in arrived at CVG got off, we got on, and went to Springfield Il, let some people off, more got on and then we flew on to Myrtle Beach. We had paid for a non-stop, we got no lunch and couldn't leave the terminal area, wound up wasting a day we could have been on the beach!!
"Late and late again"
Late both ways with the only explanation of crew getting in late last night. I would have liked the extra sleep too.
We were scheduled to have a long weekend in the bahamas with vision Airlines as one of their packages. After sitting in the airport for 8 hours they finally informed us that the flight had been cancelled and offered us a spot on the next flight. The next flight was 3 DAYS LATER! the day we were supposed to be coming home. A refund was offered however the hotel portion of the refund was penalized 1 nights stay so we were out $150 and we never got to the bahamas. I would NOT recommend this airline!
""If you can SEE us We're NOT Vision Airlines""
Upon leaving Ft. Lauderdale airport we were delayed 2 hours while Vision Airlines tried to find a crew to fly a contracted plane to Louisville. They advertise themselves as owning a FLEET of 767's and 737's but rely on contractors to carry their customers. Upon leaving Louisville we were delayed 14 hours while Vision attempted to find a PLANE to airlift us out and when they did manage to locate and engage one (Falcon Airlines) the ground crew had to jump start the plane just to get us off the ground!!! How does Vision deserve an FAA license? How were they granted one? And why do they still have one? They seem to engage in expedient and dangerous practices in a security-sensitive industry. Please for your safety and mental health STAY CLEAR of Vision Airlines. Kudos though to USA3000 and Falcon Airlines for coming to the rescue of ill-treated Vision customers. Both crews demonstrated enormous good-humor and professionalism in the face of bone-tired and, understandably, grumpy passengers.
