"Charge twice for a ticket they never give me."

I tried to buy 2 tickets on Tam website. When I went to checkout, pop a message saying that it could not complete my purchase. For me to try later.
I tried later and pop the same message.
On the next day I have 2 charges on my credit card account of U.S. $ 241.00 for purchases that I did not.
After informs them about the error for several days, and a lot of waiting in line, no one solved my problem.
Thank God I live in USA and my bank will resolve it for me. Even the bank charging a fee for this, pays off, inconvenience, lost time and neglect that have been treated by this company.

"Terrible flight change policy and bad inflight service"

Review

I made changes to my flight times and I was charged ridiculous amounts of money to do this. I was penalized $550.00 for this. When I called their so-called customer service, they would not reimburse me any portion of this obscene penalty. Also, on the flight I rang for the stewardess twice. Both times, it took 20 minutes for the stewardess to come.

"Worst Customer Service of any airline"

I flew with TAM from London to Arequipa on the 22nd January. They lost my luggage between London and Lima. I was issued with a lost luggage slip and was told that I would be contacted. I received no phone calls and contact and it was always myself who had to make contact. Half the time that I rang the Peru office my call wasn't answered. The other half, I was given excuses and lies to get off the phone. Three times I was told that they would ring me back the next morning to talk to me about my lost luggage. This never happened. I was told once that my bag had been found and would be returned the next day. The next day when I rang to double confirm, they stated that my bag still hadn't been found. On top of this I have sent three emails which have not been answered to, even though my third email I specifically asked for a response.

It seems that the staff are incompetent and would rather tell a lie and get you off the phone that deal with trying to find my bag. Furthermore when I asked if there was any compensation for my delayed baggage, as it had all of my clothes in, all of my electrical leads. As I teach out here I have had to buy new clothes. I was informed that TAM do not offer any compensation for delayed luggage. After some research I have found that it is the airlines legal obligation to do this and it even states this on their website http://www.tam.com.br/b2c/vgn/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=cd90bd8e4c3f1310VgnVCM1000009508020aRCRD

I feel utterly let down by TAM and the way that they have handled my case. Furthermore I want to feel that TAM is actually looking for my bag, as so far it feels it has been logged on a computer and nothing more. I am a frequent flyer and will be staying clear of TAM airlines and informing all those that I meet to do the same as I feel that TAM does not have any interest in how it treats its passengers.

"Excellent TAM Airlines"

Review

I travel to and from Sao Paulo Guarulhos Airport on a regular basis and try to travel TAM whenever I can. They're service, from check in to deplaning is generally excellent and they deserve the title of Brazil's flag carrier.

On board amenties are good, although the inflight entertainment operates on an open source linux system, which isn't always as stable as a custom made program, but provides all the movies and music etc you'll need for a long haul flight.

Seats are comfortable and leg room is very good, both in business and economy. The staff are always polite and courteous, something some of British Airways staff could learn from.

As they're the number one operater in and out of Sao Paulo Guarulhos, their gate allocation is good which means you don't have to walk for miles to reach immigration.

If you need a taxi from Sao Paulo Airport then it's worth contacting Sao who provide an excellent service from the airport to city hotels, complimenting the excellent service provided by TAM.

"Excellent Service"

Review

The flight departed on time from Buenos Airez (EZE). The flight attendant was really kind and smiley. The seats for a Business Class was OK for an A320. The food was really tasty and the desert was delicious.

"Seat assignment impossible"

Review

Tam cannot do seat assignment when partnered with another airline even for medical reasons (twisted my leg). 5 phone calls, 2 visits, nobody understands the system!

"average experience"

Review

Quite cheap flights. Flights were on time on all legs. Customer service was okay but nothing special, food quite good and very good inflight entertainment system.
Clean aircrafts, legroom just fine (but i'm not really tall!), sometimes seats a bit uncomfortable...
Overall the experience was ok and airline rated average...
