"The best things come in little packages"

Review

Small it may be but Southampton Airport has all you need for a hassle free start to your journey. Easy to get to just off the M27/M3 and it's own railway station it. Check-in is easy with no long queues and it is pretty much the same with security. It is essential for the airport to be efficient at check-in as space is at a premium and passengers need to be moved through to departures. Once airside there is duty free and a couple of other shops. Upstairs is a great cafe/restaurant with reasonably priced food and drink (for an airport). The best feature is the great view of all the activity on the apron.
Being a small airport means there is no great distances to walk. The departures hall is also where the departure gates are. On the downside there are no covered walkways to the aircraft - a distinct disadvantage in bad weather.
Southampton Airport is an intimate place but still efficient and with adequate facilities.
