US Airways introduces new flights: New York LaGuardia-Phoenix and Salt Lake City-Charlotte

US Airways announced the addition of two new routes from New York City and North Carolina. Beginning March 10, 2012, customers on the East Coast can take advantage of US Airways' first-ever flight beyond the 1,500 mile limit set by the perimeter rule at New York's LaGuardia Airport with Saturday service to the airline's Phoenix hub.

Additionally, starting March 4, 2012 customers in Salt Lake City will have access to daily year-round service to US Airways' largest hub in Charlotte, N.C. US Airways will operate daily to Salt Lake City with 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft and the Phoenix-LaGuardia route will be operated with 124-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.

Howard Kass, US Airways' vice president of legal and government affairs said, "We are pleased to offer our customers non-stop flights from New York's LaGuardia Airport to Phoenix with the Saturday-only exception to the LaGuardia perimeter rule. Customers in the New York area now have yet another opportunity to explore the West with convenient connections to more than 28 destinations."

With the new service from Salt Lake City to the airline's hub in Charlotte, N.C., US Airways customers in the West will have convenient, one-stop access to more than 90 destinations.

Andrew Nocella, US Airways' senior vice president of marketing and planning said, "We're now providing our customers in the West easy connections to destinations in the East, and the Caribbean, from our Charlotte hub. We're also happy to offer our customers in the East a chance to explore Salt Lake City."
