Iberia extends cell phone check-in service to another ten cities
"Abandoned at Madrid airport"
"Iberia : cheaper but bad service"
Iberia's cell phone check-in service was launched in another ten European cities in January, enabling Iberia passengers to use their cell phone to check in for flights departing from the airports of Valencia, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseilles, Nice, Strasburg, Toulouse, Bologna, Turin, and Oporto.
The time-saving service was first introduced in Barcelona's El Prat airport in September, 2009, and now it has been installed in 35 cities.
Each day more than 1,500 Iberia passengers use the service, and a total of 20,000 passengers check in on line. Boarding cards can be downloaded from iberia.com from 24 hours before the flight until two hours prior to the scheduled departure. Passengers without luggage to check who use on-line or cell phone check-in can proceed directly to security control and boarding gates, without queuing at check-in counters.
