Iberia and British Airways launch new code share destinations

Iberia and British Airways continue to advance in their merger and have just announced new destinations under code share: Sydney, Caracas, Santo Domingo and Montevideo.

Iberia clients can now fly from Madrid to Sydney via London, a route on which Iberia offers two weekly flights under a code share with British Airways.

Likewise, British Airways customers can fly from London to Caracas, Santo Domingo and Montevideo via Madrid on flights operated by Iberia and carrying both codes. Iberia now offers daily flights to Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, and five flights a week to Uruguay.

In addition, October 28 will witness Iberia's maiden flight to Angola, starting a new twice weekly service between Madrid and Luanda, to be added to the other two weekly flights operated by BA from London. To promote the new route, Iberia will award double Iberia Plus points to customers who buy tickets to Luanda before October 31.
