China Airlines Group launches codeshare cooperation with Xiamen Airlines
The codesharing cooperation is being operated on two routes linking Taoyuan and Xiamen and Kaohsiung and Xiamen. These two routes are presently served by nine weekly round-trip flights operated by the CAL Group, as well as eight weekly flights operated by Xiamen Airlines. With the inauguration of codesharing cooperation, each airline now offers 17 round-trip flights on the two routes, providing increased flexibility for passengers making travel plans, as well as travel agencies packaging tour products. The CAL Group and Xiamen Airlines will further expand codesharing cooperation to other routes to provide more convenience for cross-strait passengers in the future.
In addition to Xiamen Airlines, the CAL Group also operates codesharing cooperation with Delta Air Lines, Alitalia, Garuda Indonesia, Thai Airways, Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air, Czech Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Japan Airlines, as well as the Deutsche Bahn German Rail System. After CAL joins the SkyTeam Alliance next year, various forms of cooperation will be launched with other alliance member airlines to produce an even more comprehensive flight network.
