All Nippon Airways and Continental Airlines to expand code-share flights

The two airlines have been operating code-share flights since March 28 last year, initially with ANA's trans-Pacific routes, ANA's domestic routes and Continental Airlines' U.S. routes. This expansion of the code-sharing agreement to Continental Airlines' long-haul services will allow passengers to choose from a wider and more convenient range of options when traveling between Japan and the U.S.

Code-shares on Narita-Houston and Narita-New York flights have launched since May 1 and will begin on Japan-Guam routes from June 1.

Keisuke Okada, ANA's Executive Vice President, said, "Our trans-Pacific agreement with Continental Airlines in March is already working successfully. This development of our partnership will expand the networks of both airlines and offer our valued customers a more convenient selection of flights between Asia and the United States."

Mark Schwab, United's senior vice president of alliances said, "This code-share expansion substantially benefits our customers in the U.S. and Japan. We are thrilled to be further deepening our relationship with ANA, our joint venture partner for the Trans-pacific market, in providing customers with an even greater variety of flight options and mileage benefits."
