guess i have to stop reading bad reviews...i had a great flight, the cabin crew were awesome (and australian). very happy. would definately fly with them again. i think an airline is great because of its service, which is ultimately its crew...and ours was great. i only regret not taking the crew managers name because he was so great to me!!

I recently travelled with my elderly dad who required a wheelchair as we checked in our luggage to and from the aeroplane. The staff were very happy to help going beyond the service i expected. We were given preference of seating and helped onto the plane before other passengers began boarding. The cabin crew were very accomodating to us and were all very polite and friendly. I will definately be travelling with air australia in the future.

My husband and I had a great flight with Air Australia (formerly Strategic Airlines). We travelled Brisbane to Melbourne return over the Christmas period, the airfares were great value, the flights on time, the journey smooth, no problem. I just wanted to write about my good experience with them because I was rather wary after reading the negative reviews about this airline, but just wanted others to know that they have provided a good service to my husband and I. It was much faster and far more convenient (and probably cheaper) than driving down! So for us, this time, we had a good experience with them, and I think we will probably be flying with them again. it was my first time that i flew with air australia and i have to say i will never do it again. the flight was delayed (no reason given and basically no communication given to customers). what was worse was the old and worn state of the aeroplane and the extreme shaking of the aircraft throughout the flight. i was sitting in the middle of the place (which is ment to be the part of the plane that offers the smoothest flight). it was no just the average amount of turbulance, it was constant shaking and loud noises. i frequently fly (at least one a month) and this was by far the worst flight experience of m life. i think that the plane was a former military aircraft that had been converted into a passenger place. it was so nerve wracking and horrible, i will never fly with them again!

We were delayed 4 hours....poor communication by ground staff, poor service on check in, poor baggage handling, rude ground service, inappropriate conduct, terrible terrible! The only thing that made up for it slightly was the fact i argued for the whole plane to get a free drink on board. Air stewardess were nice.....thats the only thing positive about the experience....terrible!
