Cold and miserable
Both destinations were like sitting in a noisy fridge It was so cold passengers were wearing hats to keep warm. Food was inedible and we only received drinks way after meals because we were served first as vegetarians

One long hard flight!
I have never written a review in my life but one trip with this airline and I felt the need to warn others! I am a Kiwi living in England and fly back home to NZ once every two years. This year there was a cheap air fare on offer and I thought I would try my luck, but sadly it was a bad decision. The airline advertises a economy class, but be warned it is not a normal economy class, it is very cramped and if you want a normal economy class leg room you have to book the premium economy class, the food is very rough and limited! The meals are small and the meat they use is uneatable due to the amount of fat, not only can you taste it but also see it! Don't count on getting serviced any English tea and the coffee is odd tasting to say the least. The staff are friendly but only know key English words when coming to communications. The fleet is very old and the flights I were on the toilets were never cleaned which made it very unpleasant. The in flight entertainment is worrying with one latest release which was playing when I went out 20 Dec 12 and coming back in 2/2/13 with very little other choices in movies. The flight was approximately £300 cheaper than the others but with the cramped seating I would have been quite happy to pay the extra as on a long haul flight it was very uncomfortable and dangerous. The stopover airport is beyond belief and if you do travel this airline then with all your might try and avoid the Guangzhou transfer. I will write a review on this as well but there is a lot of reviews already on this truly shocking transfer airport.

A regular user
I feel they are great. Ok, i get the odd grumpy staff member and problem, but really the flight crew i always find great and a real kiwi can do attitude. I always think how a small country can produce such a good airline and large countries with big budgets produce such bad ones. Just wish they flew more places.

Going Hungry on Royal Brunei Airlines
I don't think I'm alone when I say that a recent long haul flight from Auckland to London left me hungry, literally. The meals were small and few and far between. At our stopover in Brunei one guy had a full meal at the airport and then asked for a doggy bag to take back on the plane. On the way back our tv monitors died halfway through our movies and the stewardess has to reboot the system, we then had to rewind back to the beginning. My controls also kept turning on the guys light to the far left of me. Also, I was looking forward to having a whole row to myself for the last eight hours, but I was moved up the front to accommodate a man with his child. They then stretched out for a good kip, but I was stuck up the front with the babies. Not happy! On the up side the customer service was good, and the stewards were very friendly and helpful.
