"A total nightmare"

Review

Flew from Mumbai to Kuwait and Kuwait to New York. Did not like the flight at all. Both flights the inflight entertainment system was not working. Seats were uncomfortable and not clean as they should be.The plane was very old,there were no blankets,the staff was also very rude and did not respond. Boarding was very slow.The total wait of all the bags could not exceed 92kgs. They said that one of our bags was 24kgs and that was not allowed.We had 4 suitcases and the total weight was 90 kgs. I would never recommend this airline. Even if you are taking it always carry something that will entertain you as their television works once in a billion years.

"One of the worst airline ever traveled with"

Review

One f the worst airline ever traveled with. The flight was delayed from the first take off. Flight was suppose to land at Mumbai Airport at 4:30 am but landed at 6:30 am.
The food in the flight was so blend. even though selecting food services did not get the requested food. We had selected the specific seats as per requirements and but it was not given and seats numbers were written manually on boarding passes from New York.

in flight Entertainment system was also not working from New York to Kuwait

While departing from Mumbai flight was suppose to depart at 5:30 am but departed at 8:20 am so late. Seats are also not comfortable and clean as it should be.

Will never book any flight ticket with this airline again.

"Better crawl, walk, drive or swim than fly Kuwait Airways"

Review

Don't ever fly with this horrendous airline. Paris-Rome-Paris. Two hours delay outbound, five hours delay inbound, antediluvian aircraft (9K-AMD, Airbus A300, first flight 1993 and 9K-AMA, Airbus A300, first flight 1992), unpleasant staff, filthy plane, disgusting food, revolting toilets, broken TV set, no information, wrong information. Impossible to switch to another airline. Let's say I'm probably lucky the pilots knew how to fly it. Better late than dead I suppose, but never again will I fly with this terrible airline. It's a wonder they are not mentioned on the European Union blacklist as I'm sure the lack of decent care in the cabin and by staff must be reflected just as badly in the maintenance and repairs, and standards of operation. Other low-cost airlines are utmost luxury compared to Kuwait Airways.

"The most Racist airlines ever...Kuwait Airways"

I have travelled on Kuwait Airways recently on not just one flight but 4 and so this review is not a single bad incident review but a series of observations about how racist kuwait airways staff is and how in general this is a pretty horrible airlines.

I do knew that this was a low cost airlines so I was never expecting any frills but this was much worse than I ever imagined. In last almost ten years that i had been in USA , I have never experienced racism and guess what the first time I had to face it was not even n western airline. The staff in general was very rude and least interested in serving the customers and if you are a non white person travelling in their air craft then you are less important than a dog.

Firstly the airline staff even outside aircraft was unfriendly and rude. While checking in when I was asking for the preferred seat at JFK airport , the response I got was "why u didnt check in online? Now I cant give you any window seat as whole flight is full"; When I boarded it half of it was empty , clearly the lady was least bothered about customer service. Then the tv screen never worked , it was never suppose to work I guess as no one even tried watching any movies as they were flickering , dont have a menu control and clearly from the last century equipment. Then the staff is totally unresponsive to your request. Even the attendant call buttons on the seat dont work. And even if you ask them for a very simple thing like a glass of water or blanket , the response you get is "Wait ; I dont have time; Ask someone else" . Of course if you are a white person specially a white blond lady then you can expect a very special treatment from the staff ; who can be at your disposal. For everybody else why on earth did you book this airlines? The staff will give you food like you are a hungry African child starving for food; literally thrown at you and not served. Also if you resting and you have requested a special meal like veg meal then staff will shout back at you ; "why was you sleeping then? Now I dont have any veg meal ; Do you understand that we dont cook food here on plane?" This was not juust most in-dignifying and horrible experience of my life but worst nightmare as well. I have travelled perhaps literally hundreds of times before in over 50 countries but this was the absolute worst.

I would strongly warn anyone against boarding it. It seems staff working for Kuwait Airways are not working out of their free will but a bonded labor of Kuwait govt. and so take off their frustrations on the customer. Even if you ask for a simple thing like a pen ; they will give you a look like you are beggar and of course deny you that thing. And then you can hear the airline crew chatting "Oh these **** people ; they are so dirty" . Clearly the staff and perhaps even the Kuwait Airways management has a racist bias and unequal attitude and maybe its a normal thing in their part of the world ; But they must realise that when they travel to USA or NewYork such a behaviour is not just intolerable but reprehensible.

"They will cheat you"

Review

This is one of the worst airlines. I am a South Indian in USA, going back for my wedding. I am also going to renew my Visa. This airline has said that they will not let me board the plane today, because I don't have a valid US visa! I am employed in USA, and simultaneously studying. I have no intention to visit UK. But in the last minute I was asked to come the next day for another flight, and pay 200 dollars fine, for not having a US visa, since the plane is going through UK. I have to pay for my accommodation, and stay in USA.

The staff where mocking me for having South Indian accent in my Hindi. They decided that I should stay in USA and not go through UK, since I don't have a US visa! All this started with one North Indian lady asking me if I knew Hindi and then mocking at my accent. In short, they caused a lot of agony and loss of money, just because I don't know their language well.

Please stay away from this airlines.

"ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS"

Don't ever complain about a us airline again. KAC is worst of the worst. Believe me, I can live with old cabins and ife. but not their management. I have only taken them a few times and have had horrendous experiences with cancellations and delays, where I have had to spend fortunes to get to my destinations soon. Pay even billions of dollars to go for a better airline. Even Air India and Gulf Air are much better. again- AVOID!

"Avoid avoid avoid at all cost"

Avoid avoid avoid at all cost,We had a really unfortunate pleasure of flying with Kuwait airways from london to sir lanka via Kuwait, horrible horrible and terrible thats all i would have to say, we flew with an 18 months old baby and my God it was hell, extremely rude staff, if you complain they don't give a dam about it, only 2 toilets for over 100 passengers and 2 for 10 business class passengers and for some reason you as economy class passengers cant even use their toilets like they are gods and those toilets are made of gold, My wife was 7 months pregnant and air hostess pushed her back and stopped her for using the business class passengers toilet which i think is extremely rude, It seems like all they care about is their special business class passengers when they totally forgot their business is run by middle class people who fly economy class.

We choose our seats and booked our flights 6 months in advance and some clever git decided to change our seats because some Arab family decided to sit there in the seat with bassinet, racist as hell, people who have children's would know what i mean in sitting in the middle row tight as hell, with 12kg of baby sleeping on your lap, and when we complaint to the chief air host instead of giving us another seat he lied to us that there is nothing else available which clearly wasn't the case and he gave feedback comment card and told us to write a complain and he will send it to someone with his report, which i am pretty sure will end up in garbage . Trust me you are better off by flying any other airline but this specially if you have children and would like to avoid racist situations.

"Worst flight experience"

Worst flight experience not just on one flight but two 

We had our flight delayed for 14 hrs from JFK to Kuwait, without giving any proper explanation on why the delay is caused. They did put us up on a hotel which they had to since it was 14 hrs of delay. Once we reached Kuwait, we were directed to transit desk from where the next nightmare followed. The Kuwait airways personnel without even enquiring to us, issued us boarding pass to Cochin, and asked move on. We then checked the boarding pass to our surprise and shock noticed it was to Cochin when our destination is Trivandrum. When enquired she wasn't even willing to talk about it nor was ready to look put for us any other that goes to Trivandrum. Since I was carrying, we then decided to to go to kochi. They said they will provide ground transportation to triv , but that would take 5 hrs on road, which I can't afford to with roads being sad, n they said, there is nothing more that they can do or give us a flight to Trivandrum . We finally booked our flight to Trivandrum paying from our pocket for a fault of theirs. Never acceptable customer service.
Comments about the crew on land, they were not at all helpful, and not welcoming. They were not ready to go extra mile to do anything whatsoever for any passenger, maybe it be economy nor business. Please note we were in business class, and this is our review. Economy I'm sure would have been hopeless.

In short, WORST experience n will always keep Kuwait airways as our last option.

"Good Flight Attendants but horrible Airport Officials"

New moms should never travel KW. I am sad to say that even after being in Kuwait for 18 years, I thought flying to back to my country via Kuwait would be a wonderful experience. I had with me my 11 month old child. When I boarded the flight the luggage guy said I could not use my stroller in transition. In the process of arguing I lost my boarding ticket!!! And they would not let me on the plane. My daughter could not even walk that time and I had two small carry ons. I finally found the boarding ticket. I pleaded with them. I placed my daughter on the dirty floor. The airport officials were extremely rude just because I was a woman.
They finally said they will try but then said it would not fit in the bin. When it landed in Kuwait, I asked for the reciept, the lady said they were able to fit and I could get it in the transition area. Imagine me carrying my child and all the bags!!!! Voila, the damn people could not find the stroller (unbrellas stoller - really light) There I was in the Airport crying with my child for 3 hrs. The only good thing is I did get bassinett and my angel baby was sleeping all the way through.

"You get what you pay for"

Review

First the positives
+ Flights were on time
+ Bags arrived on time

Now for the bad part
- Equipment is badly in need of maintenance. One of the panels holding the oxygen masks in row 29 came loose on the ground in Kuwait. It was duct taped over by the ground staff in Kuwait. Passengers sitting under the affected panels were not relocated to other seats even though the plane was not full. Wonder how the passengers would have fared it the oxygen masks needed to be deployed in an emergency.
- Pilot left the "seat belt" sign on for over 5 hours. He turned it on while we passed over some turbulence but forgot to turn it off. The cabin crew ignored the sign as well.
- Food was brought around only twice during a 13 1/2 hour flight. You had to tell the flight attendant you were hungry to get something to snack on.
- In-flight entertainment needs an upgrade real bad. The video screen was broken in 2 seats out of the 3 in my section. The receptacle for the headset plug on my seat had fallen into the armrest. The button to call the flight attendant did not work. Pushing the button of the overhead light on my seat turned on the light for the person in the next seat. They were offering portable LCD screens in business and first class since the installed screens and buttons were broken.
- Boarding process in Kuwait is a chaotic free-for-all. I saw passengers with 2+ carry on bags trying to get ahead of the people in wheel chairs. The ground staff stood by silently
