"Airline that does not care"

Review

Our checked in bag was completely drenched with water that smelled like fish (there was leakage of contents of some other passenger's bag). We are vegetarians. We have had to dispose the bag and most of its contents since the stench just would not go. The customer care representative of the airline cannot care less. They bluntly refuse to assume any responsibility, they are only interested in the money they made out of flying us. Very disappointing.

"DAMAGED LUGGAGE - INDI-NO "

I had quite the experience with Indigo airlines headed from Kathmandu, Nepal to Delhi, India. So much so that I felt the need to write a well detailed blog as to why I wouldn't take Indigo again. "Rude Steffi!"

Review

I booked a flight from Mumbai to Hyderabad for departing from Mumbai 9.40 am on Apil 9, 2014 thinking that it was a 9.40 pm flight.I realized my mistake when I tried to check in at the airport at 8.20 pm. The Check-in lady politely pointed it out and advised me that the girl at another counter would be able to help me out with the least possible financial loss. When I went to the other counter, the lady (Steffi) said I had to pay the full fare and said the other lady was ignorant. When I insisted on talking to the Supervisor, she insisted that even he could not do anything. When I met the Supervisor, he told Steffi a way to mitigate my loss by 50%. Steffi reluctantly obeyed his instructions and allotted me and my friend in the last row, though there were vacant seats in the middle. I give the airlines a low rating for employing people like Steffi at the front desk and give a higher rating for employing people like the Supervisor and the lady at the Check in counter.

"The Worst Airline Experience I've Ever Had"

I have never had a more miserable experience than with Indigo Airlines, and I am telling you even if it's the cheapest flight find another airline. They are an absolute disaster from top to bottom, and have no concern whatsoever about their customers. Really the only thing they care about is money, and they will do anything they can to scam you.

I could tell from the first time I talked to them that customer service wasn't their priority but I had no idea what was to come. I arrived in Delhi about 2 hours before my flight was scheduled to take off from Delhi to Srinagar. I wasn't familiar with the Delhi Airport (which is huge by the way) and had to wait to deliver a bag of English books I had brought for a poor school in Kashmir to a man affiliated with the school. Despite this, I was still able to switch terminals on time to where my Indigo flight was located. In fact, I was in the correct terminal almost an hour before my flight was scheduled to take off. There was a long line, which was expected, but I pleaded with the Indigo staff to let me get ahead, explaining that I had to have my bags checked 45 minutes prior to the flight. They outright ignored me, and when they did pay a little attention they told me there was nothing they could do and I would be fine.

Anyway, I still managed to arrive at the check-iin desk about 46 minutes before my flight. The lady working there ignored me for a whole minute or two and then took care of someone else standing nearby until it became 43 minutes before my flight. At which point the lady working at the desk turns to me and tells me I'm late for my flight and she can't check the bag in for me.

I was a bit taken aback and explained to her the situation. She said she didn't care and there was nothing she could do. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I immediately go over to the "Customer Service Desk" to find a group of several other customers complaining about the same exact situation that happened to them. I finally get to the front of the line, am still about 35 minutes before my flight is scheduled to take off, and explain to the girl working there. She says, "Sorry I can't do anything about that. We have no flights until four days later and you will be charged as a no-show and will have to purchase another flight." I have flown all over the world and for several years and on a million different airline companies, but I had never seen anything like this. I pleaded with her, begged her, told her that I had no place to stay, knew nobody in the country, and had to be in Kashmir to meet this guy who was taking me to this poor school that I was going to volunteer at and bring supplies to. The lady merely told me she didn't care and then proceeded to completely ignore me. When I asked for a manager she said there was none. When I asked for a complaint form she said I had to look up how to do it myself. When I finally gave up, about 15 minutes still until my flight was supposed to take off, she wouldn't even help me get someone to let me out of the airport terminal.

As I have said, I have flown a lot and have never missed a flight in my life. I will never forget my Indigo experience but not for good reasons. This is a company that doesn't care about you, simply put. They are interested in one thing: money. And guess what they got that from me. But they will never get my service again. Good business model to build on.

"Missed flight: horrible experience, never recommend Indigo"

I had a very important meeting in Delhi on 8th november 2012. I had to catch this flight on 7th evening. Flight departure time was 6.05pm. I reached at the indigo counter at 5.15pm, where all the counters were already closed except the very first which was occupied by two female staff. I had no luggage for checkin, I had to get only boarding pass. I requested the staff 100times for boarding pass or to connect me to the concerned authority.I had to reach delhi on 8th as I had to attend the important meeting. To my surprise, they didnt bother at all. I was really suprised on their behaviour. They didnt do anything to help me, even not guided me what is possible. And I was loosing time. It was one of the most horrible experience of mine at the airport.
somehow through one security guard, I could meet one Changi Airport Staff. He tried to help me by whatever possible means. But could not do contact to Indigo staff as not a single Indigo staff was outside in their office.
Finally with the help of changi airport staff, I booked another ticket of 946S$, which is very costly for me but I had to. and there is no refund about this.

"Fantastic Customer Service"

Review

I was late arriving for the flight and was certain I would have missed it. I went to INDIGO ticket counter asking if I would get some kind of a refund and book a new ticket. The INDIGO attendant there told me that she would help me catch the flight. My baggage was in a taxi and my cellphone was out of battery. In short it had all the makings of a missed flight. BUT, the attendant was extremely helpful talking to the taxi driver in the local language and getting my baggage for check in and accompanying me to ensure I was on the plane. It was a pleasant surprise to see INDIGO helping out to an extent where others wouldnt have bothered at all. Highly recommend INDIGO to all and sundry !!!

Staff at the airport as well as on board was really pleasant and helpful. Excellent customer service.
Really good value for money in a brand new plane. Flight on-time and good legroom. Good budget airline to use.
