"DIFFICULT to contact gff complaint center"

It was unbelievably hard for me to reach the gff complaint center. The line gets cut off MANY TIMES.
On the other hand, it's taking an AWFULLY LONG time for Garuda to convert my bank's credit card rewards points to Garuda Frequent Flyer miles ! It's been OVER A MONTH now since I last exchanged my credit card rewards points to gff miles. During this time, I've been making back-to-back calls with my bank and Garuda call center, following up on the issue of why they're taking SO LONG to credit the gff miles to my gff account.

the person who doing the check in is so rude. racist. always makes trouble and ask you to pay more for baggage. she always look for something to create trouble. Can not act fair. RUDE RUDE services and worker.

February 2012 , I flew from Denpasar , Indonesia to Perth , Western Australia . Despite they use a small aircraft but new ( B 737-800NG ) , the flight was smooth , I notice they clean the plane quite often , it's really clean . We departed from DPS ontime , IFE on demand in every seat which has quite alot of movie , music , TV shows for us to choose , they serve the lunch very efficient and we were offered 2 chooises of main dish accompanied with lots of beverage chooise . The flight was smooth , the flight attendant oftenly appeared to check on us and what we need .. After 3,5 hours of flying, we finally arrived on Perth International , our landing was a bit rough do to W.A's severe windblow .. Overall all thumbs up for Garuda , they serve with heart .. Will fly them again on every possible route ..

"If you surf or like your luggage looked after fly with another airline!"

IF YOU ARE A SURFER TRAVEL WITH ANOTHER AIRLINE!

After travelling back from Denpsar to Sydney I returned home and opened my board bag and one of the boards (New prior to the trip) was demolished beyond repair. It looked like they had caught in a door or had a shark loose in the cargo bay. After complaining to Garuda they basically couldnt care. They said they take no responsibility for luggage and they outsource the ground crew staff so take no responsibility in what happens to your equipment. POOR experience which only highlights the poor leg room, crap food they serve, lack of service agents at the airport meaning you wait longer to checkin in than other airlines and one of the most terrible air safety records in the world. Will ensure no one I know travels with them. Worst airline!!

"Very poor customer service"

In late January I purchased a Jakarta-Singapore round trip ticket on Garuda for March 24 in the Singapore airport.

Unfortunately, I was unable to fly on March 24. I went to the Garuda office on in Jakarta on Rasuna Said, cancelled my fight, and asked for a refund, knowing that there would be a penalty. I was told that my reservation had been cancelled, and that I would be notified when they had the cash refund for me to pick up at their office. Apparently there was no way to refund my purchase directly to the credit card with which I paid for the ticket. 

I never heard from anyone in that office, and when I tried to find out what had happened, they informed me that they did not know.

I flew to Singapore on March 30, went to the same counter in Changi where I had originally purchased the first ticket. They informed me that there was no record of my visit to the Jakarta office,  that they could not refund my ticket either, even thought I had purchased it there. They told me to take the MRT (because it would be faster than a taxi) and go to your office in United Square: apparently that office had to have my credit card in hand to swipe. There was no other way, electronic or otherwise, to refund me my money.

I did so, and it took me two hours. Once there I was told that the people in Jakarta had never followed through, and that the people at Changi were wrong: they could have refunded my ticket.

So I spent a total of approximately seven hours (Jakarta traffic, hiking through Cangi, and taking the MRT), only to be told that it should have been taken care of (a) in Jakarta, or (b) at Cangi. Nor was it in their power to do any "service recovery" so that I might walk out a happy Garuda customer (like not charge me the penalty, give me some free miles on my new mileage card, offer me a Coca Cola, nothing). But that they would be sure to inform the people at Cangi that they were wrong I the way they handled the situation.

Bottom lines:
-never purchase a Garuda ticket unless you are willing to forfeit the cost of the ticket if you are I'll on the flight date, or have lots of time and patience to chase your refund.
-their actual flight service is fine but when there are good options like Air Asia I will choose them so that I nevere have to experience Garuda service again.

"Pleasant flight - attentive service"

Review

Nice clean and modern plane. The flight attendants were very attentive and made my flight pleasant. This was enhance by the fact that several seats were free around me, so I had a lot of space and a great sensation of comfort!!
A recommended airline.

"The best but not for everyone"

Review

The flight was short, so maybe that was the reason they didn't provide a personal TV, but cabin was clean and nice. Flights attendants were attentive, and full of smile. Food was good, selection of authentic Indonesian food/beverage/fruits adds special touch. My only suggestion is to redesign the dining set to make it look more modern. The ticket price was significantly bigger than other Indonesian airlines (I checked prices and booked the ticket through Tiket2, www.tiket2.com), but overall it enjoyed the flight, it was worth the price.
