"AVOID FLYDUBAI !!!!!"

This review is intended to help future flydubai travelers from falling to a scam. Flydubai is run by corporates who Extort money from passengers. My ticket to Male - Dxb was purchased at 507 Usd, unfortunately due to the delay in visa, I had to cancel my booking, and I was refunded 383 Usd Voucher after deduction of 124 Usd. The voucher has to be used within 12 months and is not transferable to purchase ticket for a third person, unless he is traveling along with you in the same booking.....the voucher is a way to keep the sale to Flydubai. Once I got the visa, then I again rebooked the ticket for 500 Usd, so I was asked to pay 117 Usd. My card was declined and I got a call from Flydubai to pay the difference to the local Gsa to Maldives. After few hours I checked the online rate from another device and surprisingly the return fare is only 325 Usd!!! Flydubai uses cookies to find the details of the passengers and the website gives the maximum rates.... the cookie policy of Flydubai is mentioned in their website. I felt cheated and decided not to pay difference and send email to agencysupport@flydubai.com , they were not willing to respond to my request to change the booking rate. Finally, I got a mail from support saying that "booking will get cancelled to no refund" (383 Usd). My booking is now cancelled for the trip on 27.07.2016, without any refund.....total loss of 507 Usd without even flying!!! The call center charges 60 Aed for a call from the passenger, so that low cost fares can be maintained. . Nowhere in the world, you can take money and not refund without any service! As I write this review, the current rate for Mle - Dxb is 335 Usd ...I request any future Flydubai travelers to avoid Flydubai.....Happy Travelling!

"Child Seat "policy""

I will not fly with Fly Dubai again. I have taken three trips with them and all have had many issues but my last and most recent trip was by far the worse. I contacted them by phone and on Facebook to find out what their car seat policy is. Both times I was directed towards their Terms and Conditions 7.4. Based on this policy I bought a seat for my child.

On our flight to Dubai we had no issues and I was able to use my car seat. On my return flight I was told I couldn't use his car seat as it is a rear facing seat. I had a copy of the Terms and Conditions printed and they refused to look at it and made us turn the car seat around. This seat is not made to be forward facing. Thus making it unsafe.

I contacted Fly Dubai and requested a refund. They said "Kindly note that as per our safety standards, seat should be always facing forward." When I requested a copy of this policy they replied, "Kindly note that the same way as the passengers should face forward, the infant should also face forward as per our Cabin Safety Procedures Manual. We can only share to you the conditions of carriage which are on the website. The Cabin Safety Procedures Manual is for eternal use only." When I still requested a refund because they failed to notify me of this policy nor is it available to view they replied, "Your request for a refund has been refused as flydubai policy states that seat should be always facing forward." I again asked for a refund because I can't be expected to follow a policy that they don't allow passengers to have access to or disclose to them upon request. Their final response was, "As per the international standards, the car seat should be forward facing. This is due to safety reasons.
Your child xxxxxxx still occupied the separate seat. We regret to inform you that your request for a refund has been refused as per the policy which states that car seat should be forward facing. Unfortunately, we will not engage in any further dialogue with regards to refund. We are however, happy to be of assistance with any other query you may have." I'm not sure what new policy they are referring to with international standards but we ft internationally frequently and both forward and rear facing is allowed and clearly stated in the airline policy.

While their customer service is normally subpar at best. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received and I would never recommend anyone fly with them. Nor will I ever fly with them again.

"Distressful and frightening experience"

After a 2 hour delay, my family of four were refused access to the plane at the very gangway by a bouncer who calls himself an airsteward. All because Flydubai own ground staff had mistakenly ripped off the seat numbers when processing the boarding passes. I was made to wait until the last person was onboard the plane and the ground staff appeared with the papers. No apologies given. I was shamed and mistreated in front of my wife and children. The remainder of passengers from Addis consisted of african maids going to work in arab countries for a pittance. Passengers were herded like cattle by this bouncer from Kenya. I felt like I was experiencing the modern day slave trade in first person

Flydubai employ cheap labor from developing countries, pays them poorly so they are actively disengaged and bordering agressive. I had a similar experience flying aeroflot in the communist era. Not what you would expect of an airline that carries the name of DUBAI.

"NEVER book with Flydubai. What a joke!"

Wow! Never experienced such poor and rude customer service.
Flydubai cancelled our flights 6 weeks ago and still haven't refunded the money for 5 passengers.
Constant emails back and forwards.
Conveniently don't have a complaints department.....
Won't tell me where their office is. What a joke!
Disgusting! In the meantime I am out of pocket as I had to book with another airline.
I will never, ever use them again and have told family, friends and colleagues the same.

"profit over customer service"

i bought a ticket to Ukraine just before the war started which was of course unexpected as we know. fly Dubai canceled my ticket because the airport was shut down however they would not even return my money back due to such unforeseen circumstances. no matter how many times i mentioned a war should constitute a refund as it is not my fault all they gave me was a voucher which was only valid for one year when i don't even go to any other countries they fly too. such a horrible experience. i hope people read this and understand what a bad company this is when they wont give you the money back when they are the ones who canceled my flight and not only that but wont give me money back due to a war that took place in the country i was flying too. extremely bad customer service for a airline that is trying to be good. i will try and post this on other sites so people can see how this company chooses profit over customers.

"Erica "

I was travelling on 31 Dec 2014 from New Delhi to Dubai and then Dubai to Abha in Business Class. I would like to mention that Crew Member Erica was exceptional when I was in Abha flight. Though she was little upset about some reason but she gave me personalized service. She was pleasant, intelligent and more of handworker. I am really with the way she managed everything....+966568522608.. All I can say is thank you very much....

"Staff totally disrespectful of passenger "

My wife and I boarded a Flydubai flight when she was 7 months pregnant (which is allowed by all international airlines and she had the necessary doctor papers to take this flight.

To cut a long story short, the ground staff of Flydubai refused to give us the seats we paid 200 AED extras for. That was fine (security always takes priority) but they refused also to give us alternative seats suitable for a pregnant woman, gave us ad-hoc seats totally unsuitable for pregnancy and separated us on top of this. Staff uses a totally inappropriate tone as if you passengers of a low cost airline are bad school pupils. They spoke to us very disrespectfully and it was a humiliating experience. On board, things were not much better and the offensive tone staff used made even other passengers take our defense. For the sake of the baby, we did not argue at all either on land or on the plane. We finally managed appropriate seats with other passengers. Staff was totally careless.
Flydubai should be avoided if you are seniors, or family with children or pregnant. Flydubai staff has no idea how to provide a service or how to handle basic uncommon situation, even if it is a very simple one.
To ad to this, the pre-purchased meal we ordered and paid for was not available on the plane. It felt like a real scam when you pay seats and meals and they are not available.

"be carefull people"

this company will steal your money, they sell more tickets than the airplane can handle, they will tell the people who arrive late to the airport( i mean if u arrive to the airport before 2 hours) that they closed the counter and they are not responsable, this is how they make their money, by selling u an allready sold ticket

"Fly Dubai Ripped me Off"

Whilst their flights are OK for the money, their car rental service is abismal. I purchased a flight/car rental combo, only to discover that the car was to be picked up and returned in a different terminal, and I needed to take (and pay for) a taxi both ways. Never during the reservation (on flydubai.com) did the tell me that I would need to take a taxi and waste time on my trip on the contrary, they asked me to reconfirm my fligh number to ensure the car would be waiting for me on time. I felt decieved. Their customer service were indifferent when I asked for assistance. Avoid their car rental service like the plague.. they misrepresent and don't back it up with after sale support.
