"The way they treat Jamaicans"

Review

The customer care reps and the staff at the airport are the worst kind of airport staff you would want to engage with. They have frequent cancellations of the same flight and the worst part is for three days passengers have to arrive at the airport from where ever they are on the island to be told that the flight is cancelled and only American citizens are allowed on their partner flights. All this because they don't have enough passengers to fill the seats. They are not courteous at all in the least sense because as passengers are waiting not even meal vouchers are prepared for them and there is no form of reimbursement for extra costs that passengers have enquired. Terrible service!

"2nd WORST AIRLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I don't write reviews,but I felt this needed to be addressed to create awareness to other potential travelers. I traveled with fly Jamaica for the first time in December 2016, because every other airlines had layovers and they didn't, WORST mistake I ever made. Got to the airport thought I was running late so I ran to check-in, however I noticed that our departure has lapsed, so I'm waiting on a flight attendant to keep us informed as to what's going on but that never came. So I took it upon myself to inquire, that's when I found out that we were going to be delayed for 2 hours, at the time I thought it was due to the weather because it was snowing at the time, I was upset at the fact that I had to find out the delay on my own. Anyway we boarded the plane then had to wait an additional 1 1/2 hours on the plane. Long story short I was supposed to land in Guyana at 2pm in the afternoon, we didn't land until 8pm that night. I was over it at that point, go to get my luggage to no avail no luggage, they told me my luggage was left behind and they would get in contact with me when it comes, LIES!! I waited 2 days without my luggage because no one called me. Eventually I got my suitcase. With that being said I enjoyed my week, but going back home the same delay occurred, at this point im convinced that the AIRLINE runs on their own time, what bothered is the fact that they didn't even apologize for their negligence or lack of communication. I vowed never again. Moving forward, my brother booked a flight to Guyana and come to find out used fly Jamaica , flight was for May 21st 2017, when he got to JFK they gave him the run around that his flight would be delayed, however his flight was cancelled altogether and rescheduled for the next day, they refused to accommodate him in any way, they told everyone to go home and come back, my brother took an uber from Pennsylvania to new York so you can imagine how much the fare was, so my brother decides that he's going to wait it out. Anyway,2 family members both having a bad experience with that airline is a sign. They lack communication, delays are ridiculous,lack respect for their passenger's, never follow departure or arrival times, they get there when they get there. STAY AWAY FROM THIS AIRLINE!!! They are just as bad as Dynamic airlines!!!!

"Wild West Service In Guyana"

I don't really like to write reviews, despite all my hiccups once I am home I would forget and move on, but, I asked myself, how will this attitude help others? Do I really care enough to create awareness?
Well after a horrible ordeal on my last trip to Guyana two weeks ago, I have decided I say just how I feel.
Service is very important especially when you are paying with your hard earned money. I always read reviews before going on trips, and some times you have to give a blind eye to some. But I wish I had looked up the reviews before I booked.
First of all when I called in two weeks before I travelled, I was lied to telling me that th aircraft was fully booked, because it's Easter everyone is going to Guyana. So I quickly secure the seats. To my surprise half the aircraft was empty....funny eh? Then after speaking with some people, I learned I paid like $200-300 more than most people on the flight......anyways, so much for my wonderful contact I have, HE ripped me OFF.
The aircraft is very old. While in the air, breathing mask was dropping down, luggage compartment overhead was flying open ( mind yo there was no turbalance)
The service in Georgetown Guyana is horrible. There's no order, you have to drag your luggage to check in, then drag it some where else For customs, all confusion, with no help.
What really makes me upset this trip is upon arrival, we waited 3hrs for our luggages, which we got but one missing. We have decided to leave because we were tired and no one couldn't find our luggage, a letter was issue to us that our luggage was lost. Since this is an additional suitcase I brought, I paid $150 CDN for it. About midnight a call came in the luggage was found. I told them to deliver it which they refused to do, next day they called to say they can deliver it for a fee of $30 bucks. I told them before they do so they should open the luggage(since it was not locked) and check to see if the items were spoiled (I had pershible items) I was told they were spoiled and it needs to go In the garbage.
I contacted the rep. Whom I booked my flight with to file a claim, I asked to please make this easy for me since I do not want anymore stress.
Folks, I must let you know I was also robbed at gun point while there, 4 armed bandits stormed the house I was staying at just as it got dark and robbed us, thank God we are back home safe to our kids. This incident has traumatized me and I am hoping In time this horrible memory will fade away. I lost a lot, I did airline of my robbery. I lost a lot since I was there to do charity work and vacation in one, but thank God my life was spared to see another day.

"SATISFIED..."

{DIAN AND BRIAN} are the most dedicated and well trained individuals employees i have come across in a long while, even when i gave up they contacted me with information which is meaningful and i am grateful i wish i could give them a raise myself on the research they did for my mom and i but GOD has blessed them and i pray (FLY JAMAICA) recognises how valuable they are ...thank you both GOD bless guide and protect you all.

"Untrained employees!"

They have no customer services abilities, need to be trained how to speak to the their customer especially when the airline can not provide the services to theirs paying customers.
My flight going to Guyana delayed for FIVE HOURS,finally got there and guess what? NO BAGGAGES. Three days later then we got our stuff.Now returning to Toronto they had no room for my hand pieces in the the plane, so I spoke up because I didn't want my hand pieces to be check baggages because I had electronics,jewellery and other stuff I needed for my children. So because I spoke I was the one " acting like an ass" Yes security was called in who called me an Ass. I WILL NEVER USE FLY JAMAICA AGAIN!

"The worst worst worst air line"

Fly Jamaica is one of the worst Airlines to ever fly would advise anyone to never fly with them they tell you one thing then when you book your ticket move your seat they put it wherever they want to put you when it's time to go on the plane you can get on the plane their staff is very unprofessional and is very incompetent when we finally went to Jamaica I would like it was not there we try to get information on how to get our luggage no one does not communicate with you or give you proper service between fly Jamaica service and the service from the airport they are all awful up to now I'm still trying to get my luggage from slide you're making up to now I cannot get it everytime I call I get a I get a different story from everyone which is fine it's not fair when you pay your money for all for your tickets. I'm in Jamaica for Christmas to visit my family and it's sad to know that Christmas may come and my family won't even get their gifts cuz my bad we'll never reach as they tell me and it's very crazy that open up maybe about a hundred people at 80 people did not receive their suitcases which I find to be very unfair and the service no one doesn't communicate with you the service was very awful very very very poor start with that back anyone no matter even if they giving the tickets away for $2 and you need that ticket desperately do not book a flight with fly Jamaica by far they are the worst worst company of all people we need to start boycotting them don't ever fly with them don't go with them my flight I'm still waiting on and I told Jay Flight 277 by far is the worst.

"Worst flight ever"

I cant get my bags and so now all my business and plans strew up and i am only in the country for some days. Never again will I fly with unnuh. Sorry me did book a return ticket with unnuh... mess up everything and am not being compensated.

"Shame Shame Stay away from this airline"

My intention was to support my own despite all that I have heard.To add to the poor service, delayed flight, and nasty tudes my family had to endure, a day later we are still waiting on our bags with no explanation from the airline.

"Experience "

I am a mother of three children a 10,8 and a 1 year old. One of the things that upset me is that my two older children was assigned different seats from where I was seated. My children was in the front of the plan,while I was in the back of the plane with my baby, I spoke to the attendants and let them know that my kids were not sitting beside me and both of them are under the age of 16 years old and they told me to have a seat, once everyone is seated they would ask any passengers to change seats. I was happy that 2 of the passengers was will do exchange their seats for me and I thank both attendant and passengers . The next thing is our flight was suppose to leave at 9:00am and did not leave Toronto until 11:30am which u know set back Everyone whole day. Our plan landed in Georgetown Guyana at 5:30pm we all were thankful that we landed safely. To add to everything that was going on when I got to pick up my luggages it was not their. So now as a mother you have three young children on vacation with no change of clothes,my one year old has no diapers, wipes , clothes or formula and you heard your luggages will not arrive until Tuesday December 20,2016. Now I feel as if they know they plan is only suppose to take a certain amount of luggages let your customers know that their is a chance that your luggages will not arrive the same time as you. Now my family had different activities for myself and children to do while we are on vacation and will not be able to do so until our luggages get to Guyana on Tuesday and that's if theirs space on the plan. I do not recommend this air line at all
