AVOID THIS AIRLINE UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING STRANDED !
Arrived at Coimbatore airport for 1900 flight to BLR on 15 May 2016 to find flight cancelled with no prior intimation and nothing on the Air Costa website. Had to pay Jet 27000 rupees to fly the two of us to BLR via MAA as their direct flight was full. In March 2016, Air Costa quietly stopped operating the Bangalore/Coimbatore sector for 3 weeks, again with no info on the website and only restarted 4 days after promising to do so. Furthermore, they do not accept international credit or debit cards and Indian Bank of Baroda cards never work on their useless website. AVOID THIS USELESS AND UNRELIABLE AIRLINE AT ALL COSTS !

Excellent pleasurable time on air costa
Air Costa is a neat and tidy airline with staff whom appear to have just emerged from the school room. I flew a brand new Embraer 170 on a short evening flight from Bangalore to Coimbatore. The check in staff were pleasant but the boarding process was so brief that if you blinked you would have missed it. I almost did due to a badly timed washroom break. The good news is the crew was anxious to stick to schedule hence the hurry. The cabin was neat and tidy . Unlike many puddle hopper planes this one had a built in entertainment system, though 20 minutes in air was too short a time to use it. Our pilot seemed genuinely contrite at the 20 minute flight delay due to "non-serious technical issues". Overall the ride in the air was smooth. It felt good to be in the aerial coolness after baking in the broiler that had become Bangalore in April 2014. This no frills but functional airline is worth taking again. Its one of the newest cabins I've flown in India or North America and I travel heavily by air. New enough to have a "Turn off electronic devices" sign. Don't expect freebies, the only thing free in flight is water. Only cash is accepted for goodies. Do your munching in the terminal or bring your own munchies. The descent was smooth and gentler and touch down was a little hard but otherwise uneventful. Thumbs up for Air Costa.

To whomsoever it may concern Irrespective of the outcome of the surveys that you may conduct, here is my two paisa worth recommendation. It doesn't make business sense by pampering foreigners at the expense of nationals, because foreigners visit India once or twice in their life time. But the localites are the frequent travelers! I, for example will now keep AIRCOSTA as last option. -------------------------------------------- On Fri, 12/19/14, feedback wrote: Subject: RE: Feedback - special treatment to foreigners? Sir / Madam, This is in response to the SMS that you sent me for a feedback. I am glad that you do have a system to seek feedback, and hope that you also act upon it. I traveled by AIRCOSTA on 11/12/2014, Coimbatore to Bangalore LB655. I was traveling with 4 foreigners. We all had economy class tickets. We were in queue for check-in, when one of the staff took me to next counter and issued a boarding pass. Then I got to know that my foreign friends' tickets were upgraded to business class! free Why this discrimination against 'brown skinned' nationals? Vijaykumar
