"Choose another airline if possible - very arrogant staff"

Review

Arrogant staff. On our flight to Port of Spain, the air hostess bumped into the same seat three times with the serving cart. The third time, the passengers coffee was spilled all over his tray and his shoes. The staff didn't pay ANY attention. Finally she did, when two other passangers actually pointed out to her that the man had got coffee all over him. The air hostess finally said that she was sorry and gave him about 30 napkins.
On our flight back, there was a much worse thing. One passenger got melted butter all over his trousers because the small cup had been placed very close the hot meal that was served. When he opened the lid the butter poured out over his trousers. He put the cup on the serving cart, but the air hostess got annoyed and tried to put the cup back on the man's tray, which resulted in more melt butter coming out over his trousers. The man got annoyed and wiped away the cup trying to explain he didn't want it on his tray. She wouldn't listen. She could absolutely not take care of the cup since she only had clean things in her cart. The man told her she was arrogant, which made her (we understood later) call the security guards in Miami Airport to report a violent man. So, when we had landed, four guards came in, two with machine guns (!!!), taking the chocked man away. His wife and two children who were sitting a couple of rows behind also got chocked, because no information had been given to them. The air hostess told them that now he probably had learnt his lesson!!

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE"

Review

I don't know where to start MY EXPERIENCE WAS SO HORRIBLE! when I initially booked my trip it was for 6 couples, we were all satisfied with the seating and flight times. However, we all started receiving multiple emails one after another about change in flight times. We no longer had the seats we selected. some couples didn't make the flight back with Caribbean airlines they had to booked JETBLUE AIRLINES.
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS EVERY EMPLOYEE HAD AN ATTITUDE THEY JUST LOOKED ANNOYED HELPING THE PASSENGERS. THERE CALL CENTERS WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. DO NOT BOOK THE AIRLINE GO WITH ANOTHER IT MIGHT BE A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE BUT IT WORTH IT. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS AIRLINE TO ANYONE. ALL STAFF NEEDS CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING THEY ARE RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

"OK experience on Caribbean Airlines"

Review

POS-TAB BW1540 on Sunday10th Nov 2013
The 20 minute hop to Tobago was on a new ATR72-600.
Nice and neat inside. Only 68 seats whereas other airlines get 72 seats in.
A bit late (15 minute delay) as we were told that the cabin announcement mike had gone missing and the Captain insisted that there was one fixed so that all on board safety announcements could be made.
Not much to comment on a 20 minute flight – and this one was like that.
My baggage seemingly had caught the previous flight and was waiting for me in the small domestic arrivals area at TAB Airport.
The return flight on Saturday 16th Nov. BW1555. I noticed that this time the Web check in passengers did have an allotted check in desk that was accessible aside from the other check in desks. But as the queue for the web check in passengers was longer than the non web check in- that’s where I went.
Flight was very good- on time and well run.
I was in the emergency Exit sat (1A) and the steward had a special briefing just for passengers near the exit doors.
First time I have had that.
Top marks for Caribbean airlines Shorthaul, domestic Flight.

"Altogether a pleasant experience on Caribbean airlines. Comfortable Boeing 767-300’s used on this route. "

Review

You can buy your ticket and make your booking on line on Caribbean Airlines.
However to find their website on google search there are several other sites who purport to be Caribbean Airlines, but turn out to be just ‘cheap fare’ agents.
Eventually I managed to click on to the genuine website of the airline and found it quite easy to use. I am an elderly beginner at this, and if I can do it, almost anyone can.
Despite the usual hassles of completing an on-line questionnaire I got what I wanted, and the senior citizens fare too. Very reasonable. I also noted a very generous free baggage allowance on BW (Caribbean Airways)
Truthfulness is not the ultimate criteria on website questionnaires I have discovered. My real address and telephone numbers (Rodrigues Island, Mauritius) are always refused! So I just put in someone else’s, and it works.
I dare them to try and find me or phone me. (Not my fault if they can’t - I tried)
The only true ones are my email address and credit card details.
THEN I was curious to find if a ‘cheap fare’ merchant could offer anything better price wise, so I then varied my search and found that for the same flights – they were quoting more- at least 100 GBP more!
I also completed my API and found the seat map and requested my preferred seats. For which there is no extra charge (if I had gone BA- they would have added a hefty extra fee for this service)
36 hours prior to departure I did my on line check and wondered if this would, as is promised, save time and avoid queues at the airport.
It didn’t. The ‘dedicated’ bag drop desk was through the same long line of passengers waiting to check in- so no advantage at all in checking in on line.
Check-in was slow but orderly.
‘Computers are slow today’ was the reason (how many times have I heard that excuse!)
I had my boarding card for my connecting flight from Port of Spain to Tobago obtained on-line and asked if I had to re-check in at POS and was told ‘no just transfer your baggage to another carousel after customs check.’
That also didn’t work- I had to carry my bags to another area of the Airport and re-check-in and have a new boarding card issued.
So why check in on line if there is no advantage at all at the airport
The flight was v.good. An up-to-date Boeing 767-300 (with winglets) and with lots of comfortable two abreast seating – a big big advantage on long haul (how many times do I have to say it).
The cabin service was tight, disciplined and efficient (no congregating at the wash room points please.) The rear galley was curtained off as a ‘no go’ area. The cabin crew were friendly and polite- and tough at the same time. All cabin and cockpit announcements were intelligent and informative – and audible! –Excellent. The flight was on time
The food offered on board was OK – nicely presented- but barely enough!
No menus , no socks or eye shades or hot towels.
Another disappointment was the in-flight entertainment. There were individual screens but no AVOD and the selection available was uninteresting. I didn’t see many people watching the films. There was also no flight information channel with maps and other info about the flight – time of arrival, position of the flight etc. which I missed. The earpieces were also very poor quality in eco class.

But overall it was a good experience on Caribbean Airways. I would certainly use them again,

The return Flight was the BW 902 on 19th November 2013,
POS – London Gatwick North Terminal.
This time there was a really accessible Bag drop desk for passengers who had checked on line- but the flight was not full and the check in queues were very short anyway.
There was a one hour delay announced after we were seated on board, due to a technical issue that had not had its paper worked signed off, but after that we were away.
We were kept fully informed of the situation by the Captain from the cockpit as we waited.
There was lots of room to spread out at the back of the main cabin.
No hot towels or menus –but in eco we did get socks and a toothbrush!
The service on board was good but the food pared back to the bare minimum – just a 2 buns and a cup of tea for breakfast.
We landed over an hour behind schedule at London Gatwick’s Northern Terminal

Review

So my wife and mom booked there flight with shitty Caribbean air. First of the all the flight was late, then when the got at JFK there luggage literally took 3 hours to clear. When we got home lots of stuff were missing. They are thieves and robbers. They should give me a refund for the flight...because it wasn't worth paying for.

"Service"

Review

Caribbean airlines should improve on leg room space and better meals for passengers and the air fares should not exceed $450.00 peek period $400.00 none peek peroid for Guyana also how about having flights from 10.00pm JFK to Guyana 4.00am none stop.More passengers would travel on cheaper fares see the amount of passengers travel on EZjet because of lower fares. Please consider this suggestion.Thank you a Guyanese.

TODAY WHILE TRAVELING THE AIRLINE WOULD NOT ALLOW MY WIFE TO TRAVEL WITH ME UNTIL SHE WAS PROPERLY HUMILIATED BY THE STAFF OF CARIBBEAN AIRLINES AND SUBJECTED THEIR EXTORTIONATE BASED RULES EVEN THOUGH WE BOTH HAD TICKETS WE BOUGHT A MONTH AGO. "bad business "

Review

Im a bride to be and having my wedding in Jamaica in May 2012. After booking flights months in advance and guest booking as far back as September 2011. We were just informed first week in March that this airline is no longer flying on certain days so everyone would have to take another airline company or change the dates of the wedding(the wedding has been booked since April 2011). And the kicker, no refund of your money that you paid months ago for up to SIX WEEKS and now you have to dish more money out for new flights and pay the higher difference some guest paying up $375.00 more per flight. Totaly unfair and wrong and you cant talk to anybody!!! My father will have to leave the very next day after his only daughters wedding because he is on a fix income and doesnt have an extra 600 or 700 dollars to dish out now and wait for a refund! What a scam.... Thanks for running my wedding Caribbean Air!
