My main disappointment with this airline is that I've read how good they are but my experience was different . We flew from Cape Town on an old 747 overnight. The so called lay flat bed was at a 45 degree angle that one slid down constantly not very helpful for sleeping. I thought the meals were less than ordinary and not up to my expectations. However value for money paid - you get what you pay for. The flight from KL to Melbourne was in a better craft 733 but the seats were like bricks and one still slid down the seat in the incline position even though the footrest was extended. The meals on this flight were again less than ordinary only a brunch was served on a nine hour flight with snack two hours from Melbourne. In hindsight I'd not fly MAS again but had no alternative on this trip. I travel frequently and think there are better services out of Melbourne
