"No Flight and No Refund!"
Booked Jan 2011 for flight Oct 2011. Due to delayed flight time, was offered option to cancel and obtain refund. Now March 2012 and still cannot get any refund from this company. Initially lots of emails from Call Centre to get bank details and once matter moved along to Revenue Dept, nothing. This has to be illegal!
"They make fun of you !"
I bought the ticket because the time schedule was perfect for my plans (in the morning), I actually had to go in the South Italy catching a train from Rome. 3 weeks before this crappy company sent an email to all of us saying the flight was delayed of 6 HOURS(for no apparently reasons and the email was recognized as spam by Gmail)! When we eventually got to the airport the flight was delayed of other 8 HOURS and we had to wait there all day long without ANY KIND OF ASSISTANCE, neither a bottle of water or a reason. The crew was TOTALLY making fun of us inventing stories like "vulcano eruption in Sicily " (NOT TRUE AT AL, we quickly verified) or "the craft was broken" or stupid things like that.
At midnight we got the the airplane, but other problems with the baggages delayed the flight AGAIN OF OTHER 2 HOURS. So, instead of leaving from Nice at 10 a.m we have left at 1 p.m. of the day after.
I got in Rome at 2 p.m. when NOTHING was opened because too late, neither buses nor trains and we had to take a cab to Rome (paying a lot). In Rome NO ONE of Blu-Panorama was at the airport and we didn't have ANY KIND OF HELP, INFORMATION OR ASSISTANCE from the company.
Also my flight back to France has been eventually delayed of 4 hours.
This company is totally SHIT ! Try to avoid it and spread the word to all your friends !
In my flight back the delay was
"Never again"
We had a very similar experience to the one Bruno describes.
Our Rome-Istanbul flight was rescheduled for 5 hours later than planned, then delayed by an hour and a half, then by another hour - our 10.30am flight became a 6pm flight, at last count. This would have caused us to miss our expensive connection back to Sydney from Istanbul.
The Blu-Express staff were unhelpful, unsympathetic, not knowledgeable at all and genuinely didn't care. We had no choice but to cancel our tickets with Blu-Express and book at our own expense with Turkish Airlines, who could get us there in time for our expensive connecting flight.
After two hours, Blu-Express still couldn't find our luggage, so we were forced to check in and fly back to Sydney without it, and just hope that there would be some way of retrieving it later. Blu-Express refused to even forward our luggage on. It was the guys at Turkish airlines who helped us clean up the mess Blu-Express had made, and told us how we could claim our luggage once we got back to Sydney.
Blu-Express is without question the most incompetent, unreliable, unprofessional transport service of any kind that I have dealt with in 10 years of regular travel both locally and internationally. I would not recommend them to anyone, ever.
"Excessive delays, no information"
I had a terrible experience with Blu Express.
I booked a last minute round trip with Blu Express from Nice to Rome.
My departure flight was scheduled at 13H25 on August 14, 2011.
The flight was delayed until 16H with no information from the airline, not even an estimated departure time. That flight was the only flight significantly delayed for the whole airport so it appeared to be the fault of the airline.
On my return trip from Rome, again we had over 2 hours delay with no information whatsoever: everyone was standing in line at the (empty) boarding gate. The departure time was not even updated (it showed a 45 minutes delayed departure at first all the way until the actual boarding, 2 hours later).
There was no weather condition and all flights departing Rome Fiumiccino were on time except for all of the Blu Express flights that were between 1 and 2 hours delayed.
Since the airline never gave any update we had no idea in both instances whether we could leave the gate to get refreshments. To add insult to injury the only company representative (who was assisting another flight, and only about an hour and a half after the initial departure time for that flight) kept saying lies: we were told several times that the plane was on the ground but since the airport was very busy there was no bus to take us there and that any minute there will be a bus coming to pick us up.
I will never fly Blu Express again. The price was only marginally lower than EasyJet. The only reason I took that flight was because I could get to Rome earlier (supposedly). I could have drove to Rome in the time it took me to wait for the plane, fly and then go to the inner city.
