The signage is appalling, the street/ground staff if you can find any are rude and un helpful, the shopping in the Tom Bradley terminal is appalling. I am not talking about a one off experience but 2-3 times a year this happens. It is so difficult to find how to get from one terminal to another or where to catch various buses etc. The food choices are shabby and boring. The shops are virtually non existant. It is dark and needs a bull dozer through it. Recession or not this is one very old terminal and an unpleasant place to be!

I agree that LAX is an old terminal but i had no problems finding my way around it. I have used this terminal a number of times also. I managed to find the Blue Airport Transfer bus right outside the door and the one staff member i asked about the arrival of the next one to Long Beach was very polite and helpful.....

Review

One of the worst airport in the u.s. Loud and noisy terminal; very, very busy and long lines for check-in and at security controls; dirty toilets; unclear directions.
The airport seems to be totally congested and chaotic.
When we have the choice, I highly recommend arriving or departing from California via San Francisco airport or San Diego and avoid Los Angeles.
