"Big But Manageable"

Review

Detroit Metro has expanded a great deal over the years, but the people movers (indoor trains), moving walkways and car rental shuttles make it fairly easy to get around. TSA has been installing body scanners. Security can get congested at some points as they temporarily shut down checkpoints. Runways extend some distance from terminals, so taxiing for takeoff or landing can take a while. Detroit is a major Delta hub, and many flights to and from Asia pass through here. Direction and information signs are in English and other languages to assist visitors. Restaurants are adequate. Hotel on site.

"Great airport"

Review

Super modern airport and one of the newest in the USA. Great facilities and shops. Monorail from each side of the McNamara terminal. Clean, good layout, parking facilities, security etc. Can get busy but overall one of the best airports I've been to. Check out the underground tunnel from concourse A/B to concourse C in the McNamara terminal if you have time. It's phenomenal.
