(ATL) Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta
"Awesome airport"
The airport is well designed with many shops and eating establishments
"A third world facility working as the largest airport of the world."
This airport has not gone through a mayor reform since no one knows when.
When you arrive here you have a similar feeling that the one you could have arriving to Windhoek in Namibia, or even Bucharest airport, old, nasty and unfriendly.
A really negative point is also the immigration staff. When someone enters in NY or LA you always get an smile from the immigration officer who looks everything carefully and if ever there's a problem they will treat u friendly and try to fix it.
Twice I entered the country through Atlanta, although having my papers in order, and been able to show a Doctor ID I felt threaten both times, actually the first time I had to ask a superior to come because the guy had decided that he did not like me, I'm not the kind of person that would stop been polite with an immigration officer knowing what can happen to you.
The delays are continues for all the companies, the distances to cover ar really long, the signals are confusing is absolutely nothing good to say about this airport,
Not to talk about the airport hotels where the companies send yopu if the make you loose your flight.
"BIG AIRPORT BUT FRIENDLY"
may be a big airport but it must be the "southern hospitality"as everyone was helpful.... even the police ....as i was a little unsure where to go a cop see me and walked over to send me in the right direction.
