This business is not very poor customer service, it is less than and even negative customer service.

I booked a flight yesterday for my family members due to an immediate family emergency. I bought the ticket through CheapOAir travel agency and had this flight purchased and confirmed. This morning, I had a China Southern Airline representative phone my home telephone asking for verification of passengers and she let us know that everything is confirmed. Upon arrival of my family members at the airport 4 hours before the plane flight at 10:30pm, the teller informed them that they were not in the system and the ticket has been cancelled. First, how can it be that someone is not in the system but at the same time see that it's been cancelled? So does that mean they were in the system? This question was not answered. They required a ticket number from my family members to be given to them, when my family members were not issued a ticket number by the phone representative nor the travel agency. We didn't know, the representative said everything is set. We were told to phone the travel agency.

The explanation received from CheapOAir was China Southern Airlines had overbooked their flights. Plus, the price seen online was China Southern Airlines' "promotional" price, so though my purchase was indeed confirmed, the China Southern Airlines cancelled the purchase of the flight without proper notification! This is bad bullshit business. Folks, don't invest your money in this business. We had an immediate family emergency and we were grateful to see that they had the next available flight at a great rate. It was too good to be true. Bad business methods and practices. This situation is completely absurd, and China Southern Airlines provide extremely poor customer service. Again, we were given a personal call from China Southern Airlines' representative to say everything is set, and then arrive at something nonexistent upon check-in. Utter nonsense.
