"Avoid Air Panama"
After booking and confirmation, and arriving early at airport they bumped us to a latter flight with complete disrespect. The flight was overbooked and against our will with no satisfactory explanation we were left behind.
Very unprofessional, unpredictable, disrespectful . Better use the bus and give them no money.
Shame on you Air Panama! This company is opposing panamá touristic development .
"Worst airline "
our flight to David was delayed for 3 hours. No apologies or explanation . The cost of the ticket is overly pricy for a 40minutes flight. The distribution machine was broken and we had no way to buy water.. Staff poorly trained. Apparently it is very common for this airline to deliver a poor service and have delayed flight.

Seems to be run by teenagers with attitude,rude and demanding...first jet broke down, had to wait hours to get another...hot, miserable...carrying a magazine...they'll weigh it and charge you for that. Planes are NOT clean.
"The Worst Air Line... "
I have been using air panama to travel to the San Blas islands for the past 6 months now as a missionary. we got to the airport today 30 min before our flight with the massive let down that our fights were prematurely canceled. we tried figure it out but the boarding agent was completely unhelpful and quite frankly rude. He changed his story 3 times of why he canceled our flights. He told us that our luggage was too heavy, then he changed his story and said that they had closed the flight and was unable to enter more passengers, THEN he told us that they had ¨Weighed and balanced the small 16 passenger plane¨ and were unable to change anything. there were 6 of us and they informed us that they wouldn´t have a flight until the next month. they refused to help and the attendant left and would not talk to us. we were left in the airport with all our luggage. this is the first time this has happened and quite frankly if this was any other airline in any other country i would have just switched airlines but there is just one awful airline to leave to San Blas in this country. they refused us a refund and we now have to get to our island by boat in the more dangerous time for the ocean of the coast of panama... I am most unpleased and downright outraged at the service or lack of. we lost more than $500 due to Desk man and the true travesty is that we have no other option to get to our homes in Playon Chico, Ukupa, and Irgandi in San Blas.
"Adequate, small, domestic air service provider"
I have flown Air Panama several times. As a small domestic airline that caters to Panamanians and other Central Americans do not assume that all employees speak fluent English. Try to learn some Spanish. Unlike US carriers you can expect a simple snack and beverage at no charge, even on short flights. Even the baggage handlers are more respectful than those of US carriers. Their fares are reasonable snd their fleet, while older, is well maintained....I am a gringo who feels it is a priviledge to visit such a warm, welcoming and beautiful country.
"Beware Air Panama booking system"
We booked four flights in late November. Their web site failed repeatedly, finally taking our credit card info then saying it was unable to complete the booking. So we booked over the phone. They wanted faxed credit card and passport info, which I refused to provide. They suggested wire transfer. I asked what amount, they quoted the flight costs. Knowing the wire transfers are expensive, we sent an extra $10. They took the money then refused to confirm the flights because their bank charged them $53.50! They then wanted us to send more money. Guess how, by faxing credit card and passport info.
By this time I discovered that their web site in fact had taken our money! We had now double-paid. Then ensued dozens of failed phone calls and emails. They finally refunded some of the money, kept the wire transfer fee, which I am now going to pursue.
The good news is that we recently completed the trip and the flights were fine. Be prepared that they will change the flight times at the last minute, so check before heading off to the airport.
Their customer service people seemed eager to help, but incapable of doing so. Since my Spanish is non-existent, I think it would be in their best interests to hire at least one person who is fluent in English, given the number of gringos flying their airline.
The departure was one hour late, it was supposed to leave at 1:45PM we left at 2:45PM. The staff was very poor trained, did not inform anything regarding the situation. The plane was very old, the noise in the cabin left us with a headache and a sick stomach. We had to take a flight in Tocumen Airport the same day so it was very stressful thanks to the poor service of Air Panama.
"Big dissapointment Air Panama"
Its has very poor service. If a flight was cancellled due to tecnical problems, the airline wont recognize anything plus long time of waiting for smaller flights to replace the original one. No discounts nor accomodations were given as consolation. If you wanna risk taking this flight you have to make sure you dont have any urgent appointment or make sure to have a place to stay if needed to wait all the night long. In addition to that the personel are not well trained to face this situation which annoys you more.
