The new International terminal at Ahmadabad Airport is classical example of India can build new infrastructure but cannot maintain it.

Entering the terminal building requires you to show your passport and ticket not once but twice if you can enter it without pushing people out of the way. Cars are parked haphazardly even at the Departures gate. The Check-in area has long waiting time and passing through immigration/emigration is an example of Indian bureaucracy at its excellent worst.

The Terminal has loose bulbs, dirty window glasses, un-repaired air conditioning vents.

There is a cubby hole in a ill maintained restaurant that doubles as a Business Class Lounge for Emirates, Qatar and Singapore Airlines. Not even a newspaper is available in the Lounge.

Does not give a good welcome or send off from "Vibrant" Gujarat as the signboards proclaim.
